Lindström - IT Project Manager, Capacity Management

We are looking for a motivated and experienced IT Project Manager, Capacity Management to lead, plan, and coordinate IT activities for Lindström’s laundry construction projects and other IT initiatives from start to finish. In this role, you will manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables while acting as a key liaison between stakeholders. You will ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget, while driving cross-functional collaboration to meet strategic business goals.

- Travelling: No frequent travelling planned, but occasional visits to the construction sites may occur in the future

Key Activities and Responsibilities
As the IT Project Manager for Capacity Management, you will play a key role in exciting projects, involving the expansion of existing laundries or the construction of new facilities across Europe and Asia. While most of the projects will focus on capacity, there will also be opportunities to work on other IT initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the readiness of IT systems and the installation of essential infrastructure, such as production equipment, routers, and scanners. A central part of your role will be collaborating with internal teams, managing schedules, and effectively planning IT resources to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
The key activities for this role are:
- Lead, plan, and coordinate IT activities for laundry construction projects or any other IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables.
- Act as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, business stakeholders, and other parties.
- Liaise with the other functions across IT to bring expertise to support projects.
- Ensure that all project requirements are met and that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure the appropriate sign-offs are obtained by relevant parties at the correct stages e.g. architecture and IT security in detailed design, production readiness before rollout.
- Prepare and participate in project steering group meetings, reporting project progress and any deviations.
- Engage relevant internal functions to deliver innovative and cross-functional technology projects.
- Follow project management and project portfolio management practices.
- Proactively ensure that the project is progressing towards the agreed targets and business value.
- Helps project team to perform as highly as possible by supporting, coaching, and guiding them in their work.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
We are seeking a highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate has a cooperative working style, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to identify dependencies and key impacts. Additionally, the candidate should have the capability to succeed in a global environment, demonstrating adaptability and cross-cultural understanding.
The ideal candidate has:
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years of direct project management responsibility
- Experience in managing IT activities as part of facility construction projects, including IT network and equipment installations, IT system configurations and installations
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience in working with wide array of stakeholders, including business functions in head office and country organizations, different IT functions in development and operations, and global and local suppliers
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English (Finnish is a plus)
