OPEN POS is looking for a back-end oriented Full-stack Developer to strengthen its team and contribute to the development of the company’s flagship product, SiteManager.

The SiteManager application consists of two modules. OPEN SiteManager is a robust management and monitoring tool designed to improve operational efficiency and minimize downtime in the fuel retail business. OPEN EV SiteManager, on the other hand, is designed for EV charging business operations, enabling management of EV charging, streamlining workflows, and improving productivity.

Organization

The role will report to the Senior Manager, SWD and IT, Fuel & Charging Unit. The position is part of an experienced R&D team, which is divided into product-specific development teams. The R&D organization includes developers, QA engineers, architects, and an UX/UI designer. Key internal stakeholders for this role, in addition to the above, include the product owner and the service desk.

Role

As part of OPEN POS’s experienced R&D team, you will work in a versatile role with a strong focus on back-end development (approx. 80%), while also utilizing your front-end skills. The role includes both product maintenance (50%) and new development (50%). A key part of the job involves various integrations with identification devices and payment terminals. The developer is responsible for unit testing, while functional testing is handled by QA engineers. The R&D team operates in a Kanban-like model.

You will work with microservice architecture in a modern technology environment. The tech stack includes: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React.js, Python, MongoDB, DocumentDB, AWS, Google Cloud, Kotlin, Android apps, Git, CI pipeline, Docker, MQTT, RestAPI.

If you wish, you also have the opportunity to participate in the development of the R&D processes and good coding practices.

What OPEN POS expects from you

• Several years of experience in software development
• Strong skills particularly in the following technologies: JavaScript, Node.js, document databases (e.g., MongoDB), integrations
• Knowledge of cloud services and container technologies (e.g., Docker) is an advantage
• Information security expertise is an advantage
• Fluent English language skills, Finnish is an advantage
• Insight into good coding practices and efficient product development processes
• Experience with payment systems and related topics is an advantage
