An exciting opportunity awaits you as a Systems Architect, where you will play a key role in defining and creating the architecture for future solutions focusing on Remote and Autonomous solutions (R&A).

Basic information

• Location: Kongsberg’s site in Turku
• Remote work: hybrid model, 3 days per week onsite is expected
• Travelling: typically, 2-3 trips per year in Europe
• Permanent, full-time role
• Starting date as per agreement

Key accountabilities

• Define and create the architecture for future solutions in Kongsberg Maritime with a focus on Remote and Autonomous Solutions (Systems of systems perspective).
• Establish a technical vision together with the Systems Engineering team and guide the architecture for all solutions, while keeping up with current technological trends and innovations.
• Responsible for turning new KM products into reality through designing systems and solutions while ensuring that the future needs and requirements of the Stakeholders are met.
• Contribute to the development of the Systems Engineering discipline by providing thought leadership to the team around innovative approaches, workflows, and technologies.
• Responsible for the Systems Engineering Process fulfillment within the project and product you work with.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and managers, sharing and applying knowledge in cross-functional and globally distributed multi-disciplinary departments and projects.

What Kongsberg is expecting from you?

• Experience with integration of products.
• Experience from different technological domains and have practiced concept development, system architecture, system integration and/or Systems Engineering in product development for several years.
• Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering (Like SysML , UML, UAF).
• Bachelor- or master’s degree in engineering combined with the right experience and with an interest in Systems Engineering.
• Good communication skills in English. Finnish or other Nordic language is a plus.

• Communicate in a clear, precise and structured way and lift the people around you.
• Use a methodical and systematic approach, plan ahead, define clear priorities.
• Make an impact, convince and persuade others and promote plans and ideas successfully.
