We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Project Management to lead and develop an international Project Manager team within Oras’ Product Management organisation. The purpose of the role is to build a high-reliability PMO that delivers Product, Technology, CAPEX projects faster, on scope, on schedule and on budget.

Hybrid-work model: 3 days a week at the office
Travelling: Occasional, approximately 20 days per year

Organisation
The position reports to Chief Product Officer and is a part of Oras Group Product Management (PM) management team. The Head of Project Management leads a Project Management team consisting of 3-4 Project Managers based in Finland and Poland.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Own the Product/Technology/CAPEX roadmap (with SBU views); prepare Product Council/Steerco pack (including recommendations for project prioritization and trade-off options)
Together with your project team deliver Product, Technology, CAPEX projects on scope, on schedule and on budget
Lead, coach, and upskill the project management team
Continuous improvement of our NPI/Stage-Gate and other related project management processes. This includes, but isn’t limited to the strong improvements in:
Quality and therefore reliability of the project schedule planning
Number of project delays (vs. project schedule plan)
Reduction of overall project duration and TTM (time-to market), also via use of agile models for development sprints and problem-solving
Project resource planning and projects resource tracking
Tracking of the project progress. Early warning and escalation system in case of risk to critical path
Knowledge, Skills and Experience – What is Oras Group expecting from you?
We are seeking a senior professional with solid project management background and a strong understanding of the manufacturing industry. We are looking for someone who brings fresh ideas from prior successes and focuses on delivering measurable improvements rather than theoretical frameworks.
The ideal candidate has:
10+ years of leading complex hardware NPI/NPD projects.
Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing practices, with the ability to understand practical constraints and realistically challenge estimates.
Proven time-to-market reduction and on-time improvement, ideally in multi-site projects.
Proven usage of modern methods & tools such as IPMA standards, Stage-Gate + Agile hybrid, PMI / PMBOK-based Project Management, Lean / Six Sigma, Enterprise PPM / PM Tools, AI-augmented PMO.
Strong stakeholder leadership from C-suite to shop floor.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills in multicultural environments.
Strong leadership qualities: a team player who can effectively guide and motivate team members.
Suitable degree in engineering or business. Extra qualifications in Project Management are considered an advantage.
Fluent English skills; German/Nordic/Polish language is a plus.
