Lindström Oy – Domain Architect

Lindström is seeking a Domain Architect to join its global IT organization, Customer Solutions development team. In this role, you will work closely with architects, solution owners, solution specialists, and business stakeholders in an international environment where systems and architecture are continuously evolving.
As a Domain Architect, you will have a genuine opportunity to influence Customer Solutions' architectural decisions, future ways of working, and the development of Lindström’s evolving architecture landscape while ensuring that solutions align with business needs and long-term development goals.
The position is based in Kalasatama, Helsinki and requires three days per week working at the office. This is a full-time and permanent position and start date can be after holiday season. Please note that relocation services or visa sponsorship are not offered - candidates must have the right to work in the EU.
Role and responsibilities
General architecture responsibilities
Maintain an overall understanding of the current and target architecture
Support projects and continuous development in technical architecture design and integrations design together with integration architect
Ensure that solution design fits with current and target architecture
Ensure that solutions are designed in alignment with business strategy and appropriate best practice, standards and methodologies
Solution architecture
Design the high‑level solution architecture
Define the dependencies between solutions
Maintain the documentation of solution architecture
Co‑operate with Chief Architect in solution architecture roadmap design
Collaborate in solution design with solution owners
Risk, compliance & security
Ensure standards, guidance, policies and protocols are followed in solutions set by the IT
Monitor standards, controls, processes and solutions to minimize business and IT risk
The Customer Solutions environment consists of approximately 20 globally used systems across Europe, Asia, and other operating countries. Key systems are related to Sales & Marketing and Service & Product concept, within a strongly Microsoft-based technology landscape. One of the key focuses of the role is modernizing the current architecture landscape while ensuring business continuity.
Lindström’s 2030 strategy aims for significant growth, including doubling net sales, which places a strong emphasis on scalable systems and service development. The role involves ensuring that the architecture supports future business growth and enables new service concepts and business initiatives. One of the key goals is to help build a sustainable and future-oriented architecture vision together with the team.
Experience and knowledge
The right candidate has:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in IT, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
Strong experience in solution and/or domain architecture
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and other Microsoft technologies
Experience with cloud services and modern integration patterns, and working in complex, multi-system environments
Understanding of the business domain with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Advanced understanding of service-oriented architecture, APIs
Strong understanding of architecture design principles and solution development lifecycles and methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to identify, communicate, and present key architectural considerations to different stakeholders
A proactive and self-driven mindset, together with strong communication and ability to bring forward ideas and influence decision-making
