Lindström - Product Owner, AI

Lindström is looking for a Product Owner, AI to lead and coordinate AI product development across the organization. Lindström is investing strongly in AI as part of its strategic development and is increasingly focusing on agentic AI solutions built within the Microsoft AI ecosystem. This is a highly impactful role focused on translating business needs into scalable AI solutions while driving roadmap priorities, backlog management, and AI product delivery from concept to production.
In this role, you will combine strong technical understanding with product ownership and stakeholder collaboration. You will work closely with business stakeholders, AI champions, external development teams, and internal experts to ensure AI initiatives create measurable business value and align with Lindström’s strategic priorities.
Basic information
Office location: Hermannin rantatie 8, Helsinki.
Work model: Hybrid model with 3 office days per week and 2 flexible remote days.
Travelling: Limited travelling related to occasional internal workshops or major go-live events in other countries.
Reports to: Director of Data Analytics and AI.
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role.
Preferred start: As soon as possible.
Objective
As the Product Owner, AI, you will be responsible for owning and driving the end-to-end delivery of AI products and solutions at Lindström. Your task is to ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with business priorities, technically feasible, scalable, and capable of delivering measurable business value.
The role focuses particularly on AI solutions supporting sales growth, customer understanding, and business development. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams while ensuring high-quality execution, prioritization, and roadmap management.
Key activities and responsibilities
Define and own the AI product roadmap based on business value and technical feasibility
Translate business requirements into clear AI problem statements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria
Engage business stakeholders to understand pain points, validate hypotheses, and communicate outcomes
Maintain and prioritize the AI backlog and development roadmap
Drive AI product delivery from prototype to production
Coordinate and lead external developers and AI specialists
Participate actively in technical design and architecture discussions
Apply and promote AI development best practices, frameworks, and documentation standards
Collaborate with data platform teams and other product owners to build scalable AI components
Evaluate external AI vendors, tools, and technology partners
Stay current with developments in AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic AI technologies
Ensure alignment with Lindström’s Microsoft AI ecosystem and architecture
Communicate AI vision, progress, and business impact to senior leadership and stakeholders
Who we are looking for
Knowledge, skills and experience
Master’s degree or higher in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
3+ years of experience in Product Owner, Technical Lead, or similar AI/ML-focused roles
Demonstrated experience delivering AI products into production
Experience working in agile environments with technical experts and business stakeholders
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, LLMs, RAG architectures, and generative AI
Understanding of data engineering fundamentals
Experience with Python and SQL
Familiarity with the Microsoft AI ecosystem including Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, AI Foundry, and Copilot Studio
Experience coordinating technical development and external development partners
Strong communication skills in English
