Exel Composites is an innovative and forward-thinking company and a global leader in composite technology. They are now looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team as a Group Business Controller. The role is based in the Vantaa office and is a full-time, permanent position.

Main responsibilities and key tasks

As a Group Business Controller, you will play a crucial role in group level financial management, reporting, and analysis. Your key responsibilities include:

• Monthly financial reporting to Group Leadership and Board of Directors
• Order Intake, Order Backlog, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow and related analysis including actual/forecast/budget comparisons
• Group functions fixed cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting
• Monthly closing support, sales cost, group charge and BU charge allocations
• Coordinate and manage monthly management reporting rhythm with units globally
• Managing annual budgeting process together with Group Controlling Director
• Acting as a key user for the management reporting system (FPM) and for BI system (Qlik)
• Development of overall reporting process and systems (FPM, Qlik, PowerBI) covering areas such sales, sourcing, operations, and related KPIs
• Weekly sales, order intake and cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Support with external quarterly reports and annual reports, ESG reporting development, transfer pricing

This role reports to Group Controlling Director and works in close cooperation with BU controlling, site controllers and Exel Leadership Team, IT.

What Exel Composites expects from you

• Relevant educational background e.g. bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
• Several years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, business finance or consulting, ideally in an international environment
• Strong analytical skills, development-oriented mindset with a dynamic and proactive work approach
• Extensive Excel skills, good knowledge of Power Point and BI tools
• Excellent communication skills, ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
• Professional proficiency in English, Finnish language skills is a plus
• Experience from group consolidation and eliminations is a plus
