Sales Manager, Finland & Baltics – Orthex Group

Orthex is looking for a results-oriented and hands-on Sales Manager to lead and grow its business in Finland and the Baltic countries. This is a key commercial and leadership role, responsible for market development, key customer relationships, and team management. The position offers the opportunity to manage Orthex’s second-largest market and drive new growth in the Baltics.

- Travel: Limited overnight travel (approx. 10–20 nights/year)

Team
Sales Manager, Finland & Baltics is part of the Nordic sales organization and reports to the Sales Director based in Copenhagen. The role leads a team of three Key Account Managers in Espoo, with additional indirect reports. The position requires a visible and collaborative leader who supports daily sales activities and fosters close cooperation across internal functions and key retail customers.
Key responsibilities and main tasks
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the Finnish sales team, setting clear objectives and personal development plans.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-centric culture.
- Ensure resource efficiency, clear priorities, and consistent follow-up of goals.
- Conduct regular store checks and provide structured feedback to enhance execution quality.
Commercial Leadership & Market Growth
- Lead and develop sales across Finland and the Baltics, with full P&L responsibility.
- Set strategic and operational sales targets aligned with Orthex’s group objectives.
- Develop annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts; monitor performance and take corrective action as needed.
- Ensure healthy profitability by managing pricing, customer rebates, and payment terms according to company policies.
- Identify and execute growth opportunities, particularly in the Baltic markets.
Customer & Business Development
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with major retail and e-commerce customers.
- Drive category growth through close collaboration with distributors, partners, and internal teams.
- Lead commercial planning, negotiations, promotions, and new product introductions in line with Orthex’s overall strategy.
- Monitor competitive landscape and propose data-driven business development actions.
Operational & Process Excellence
- Oversee commercial processes in cooperation with Marketing, ensuring timely planning of promotions, launches, and trade communications.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, effective inventory management, and base-business improvement initiatives.
- Utilize CRM (MS Dynamics) and Power BI for performance tracking and decision-making.
- Drive simplification and efficiency by reducing complexity and unnecessary costs.
Who we are looking for 
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5–10 years of proven sales experience in retail, including Key Account Management.
- Minimum 2–3 years of team leadership experience.
- Strong commercial business acumen and experience in business development, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Power BI, and CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
- Fluent in Finnish and English; Swedish is an advantage.
