Berner MedLab - Nordic Tender Manager

Berner MedLab is now looking for a Nordic Tender Manager for a newly created position in a dynamic phase of transformation and growth. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of our tender business across both public and private sectors.
You will step into a key position where you drive strategic alignment, influence the market, and enable strong cross-functional collaboration. As the leader of the Nordic Tender function, you will take ownership of developing and leading tender operations, ensuring they are closely integrated with the business and deliver measurable results.
This is your chance to bring in new ways of working – championing automation, playbooks and decision filters to streamline processes and increase efficiency. You will play a central role in building and professionalizing Berner MedLab’s tender approach in the Nordics, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution. Working closely with a cross-functional team, you will create impact through insight, influence, and leadership, and contribute directly to profitable growth.
Basic Information
Location: Helsinki (Hitsaajankatu 24)
Working model: Flexible hybrid model, you can work remotely 2 days per week
Travel requirement: The role includes occasional travel within the Nordics. The amount of travel will evolve as the role develops, but it is estimated to be approximately quarterly
Employment type: Full-time, permanent position

In this role, you will
Shape and influence the market: Build strong relationships with procurement authorities, private healthcare providers, and industry organizations across the Nordics. Influence tenders and frameworks to reflect Berner MedLab’s strengths and support growth. Engage key stakeholders and contribute to policy discussions to help create a favorable market environment.
Drive strategic alignment: Develop and align tender strategies across Nordic countries and business lines, ensuring a unified approach. Use data-driven decision criteria to prioritize high-impact opportunities. Own tender processes and outcomes, while supporting local Tender Managers with insights and best practices.
Foster cross-functional collaboration: Act as a connector between commercial, product, service, and regulatory teams to ensure tender readiness. Enable knowledge sharing, lead the Nordic Tender team, and promote accountability and performance. Drive adoption of automation and digital tools to improve efficiency.
Professionalize and improve: Use market feedback and tender outcomes to continuously improve ways of working. Gather pretender insights to anticipate trends and shape proactive strategies. Develop training materials, playbooks, and tools, and maintain a forward-looking tender pipeline.
Champion compliance and ethics: Ensure all activities meet Berner’s standards for ethics, compliance, and sustainability. Promote a responsible approach that considers broader social impact.
What Berner expects from you
Strong experience in strategic, tactical, and operational tendering, market access, or public affairs within healthcare, medtech, or related fields, with an understanding of the Nordic market or experience working at a Nordic level
An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to develop and implement new approaches in a dynamic environment
Proven ability to influence both internally and externally, align stakeholders, and shape market conditions (experience in advocacy or policy engagement is a plus)
Strong analytical and commercial capabilities with a focus on sustainable, profitable growth
Experience in implementing automation, decision-making frameworks, and digital tools
Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills
A strategic yet hands-on and results-driven approach
Fluency in English and Finnish, Swedish is considered an advantage
