Volvo Construction Equipment Finland Oy - Business Controller
Volvo CE is seeking Business Controller to join its organisation in Finland. As a key member of the Finance team, the Business Controller will provide valuable business insights and financial analysis to support decision-making, drive business performance, and contribute to the continuous development of the company's processes and operations.
The position is based at the Vantaa office and follows a hybrid working model. The role includes occasional travel to other Volvo CE locations across Finland, as well as visits to Sweden a few times a year. This is a permanent, full-time position, with a start date in August 2026, or as agreed.
Responsibilities
As a Business Controller, your role covers a wide range of responsibilities across financial reporting, analysis, and business support. You will monitor business performance, provide insights to support decision-making, and contribute to Group reporting processes. The role also offers a strong opportunity to develop reporting practices, drive automation initiatives, and identify opportunities to improve business performance. You will report directly to the CFO and be part of the Finance team and extended management team.
The key activities include:
P&L reporting accuracy according to Volvo Group standards
Internal reporting in line with the company's KPI's
Responsibility for adequate reporting structure within ERP
Preparing high quality rolling forecasts
Responsibility for investment reporting including development of proper business case and follow up
Responsibility for fixed costs and business units cost follow up, including monthly reviews
Force of proposal for any supportive business action leading to e.g. T/O evolution, Gross profit improvement, fixed costs reduction and/or operating profit development
Participating in new IT implementation projects, making sure reporting matters are being covered within the projects
Acting as a backup for Finance team colleagues and supporting the month end closing tasks
Acting as the business conscience of the company together with the CFO
Knowledge and Experience
The ideal candidate has:
Minimum of MBA or MSc. education in the field of economics
Solid work experience from similar Business Controlling roles with international companies
Experience with reporting on a group level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English, Swedish is considered as an advantage
Ability to constructively interact with others with great communication skills
Ability to resolve complex problems and develop new solutions
Exhibit strong systems skills with the ability to develop and drive implementation of system and process changes
Highly skilled in numeracy and literacy. Must have the ability to analyse and communicate well both verbally and in writing
Strong IT skills and excellent Excel proficiency. Experience with Power BI is an advantage, as well as an interest in AI-driven development
